The staff was kindly and did their best to accommodate my wishes. Excellent car. The return was difficult because indications were not clear. Although we eventually figured it out, a map given at pick up time would have been a tremendous help and avoided stress.

When i arrived with a reservation for a compact car they said they had none, they offered me a very small electric car then told me that i would have problems if i took it because there are not enough charging points....then they offered me a small opel suv for 10 euros more per day. I was not in the mood to just drop it and look elsewhere so I said ok. Then i saw the bill when i retunred it, there were tons of extra charges and the small suv ended up costing a whole lot more than the original price. What is more the opel had issues and was noisy...poor quality. Overall the experience was not good and I will not rent from them again.

We were scheduled to pick up our rental car from CDG at 8:00 am. No body showed up at the counter until 10:00 am and there were 4 groups of people who had already been waiting for up to 2 hours. One week into our trip the rental car started having issues with warning lights coming on the dashboard. We phoned Europcar and they told us a mechanic would be out there the next morning to look at it and meanwhile, not to drive the car. No one showed up for 2 days. When someone did show up, it was a tow truck that towed the car away, leaving us with no car. After repeatedly phoning Europcar, they finally told us that we could pick up a replacement car in Lyon, 3.5 hours away, and we would have to take a taxi there. This was a completely ludicrous request, so we were forced to then rent a new car from Sixt, who went out of their way to accommodate us. We will never use Europcar again. Highly recommend Sixt, whose service and cars are so much better.

first, they tried to pass on to me a car seriously damaged without telling me. i declined. then, they refused to show me the contract. "we don't have a printer!" then, they changed the price from 805 EUR to $1600. then, they charged 42EUR "administration fee" to give the police my name and address due to 2 kph over limit speeding offense. this is pure profit padding just because they can. a despicable operation.

Very friendly staff! They went out of their way to help me with getting my vehicle in the middle of a mass rush to the counter by people wanting cars due to the train strike. Two people worked the counter and one young woman was continually going up and down the line to help get info for a quicker checkout. It took a long time to process everyone due to the large amount of people. However, they were very patient and ensured everyone was able to get a vehicle. Return was super easy. I’ve rented many cars at CDG. This was by far the best experience.

I was told the “door dents” caused by other parked cars were my fault and an extra 2500 euro has been charged to my visa and I was required to sign a release (written in french) in order to leave. I find it literally not believable that alamo is not already insured for such damage and this is a fraud. I thought about getting the alamo insurance at rental time but it was quoted at nearly twice the rate of the rental. Now I know why. No more alamo or their partners for me or anyone I know. Guaranteed. Alamo has lost more money on the future than they have gotten from me.

After reconfirming a week in advance that our car would be ready, we were kept waiting for two hours for a vehicle that was supposedly coming from a nearby parking garage. When we finally got the keys, the vehicle turned out to be one that was in the lot at Roissy the whole time. If I hadn’t kept asking the staff for an update, they would have left us sitting there all day.
