Cheap Car Rentals in Key West from S$ 57

First car we were given was dirty and full of trash. We were given another car that was clean and quite nice. My Amex sent me notice of the charge ($1047) which was more than double the booking charge($486). We had not been given any paperwork and when I went back to ask I was told they forgot to tell me there was a deposit that would be returned when I returned the car. I asked for and received paperwork regarding the rental. I have not received credit yet for the return but it’s only been one day since the return.

Agent at airport did an awesome job. Reservation was for North Roosevelt. Airport at South Roosevelt. Got me into a better SUV with minimal upcharge ($8). Taxi to other location would have been waaay more than that.

Awful. Waited over an hour in a small office prior to pick up. Woman on the front desk with blonde hair was very rude and left us waiting in the office for over an hour when there was only one other person in there, who was already getting served by another staff member. Car was unclean. After just an hour of driving the car it started making a loud clacking noise. (We was running late so we did not have time to drive back). The noise did stop after a couple of days. Phoned to extend our car rental and was spoken to by the same lady we had on our pickup, again she was very rude and we got nowhere on the phone. Phoned again a few days later in hope that someone else would answer. Again the same lady actually put the phone down on me after I asked to extend the rental, I called back and she said she was really busy, which would have been ok but I told her I was borrowing our hotels phone and leaving so we would not have any other way to call , so she said “ok what do you want “ I said can I extend for another two weeks , she then quickly said “ok bye “ and put the phone down. I did not receive a message or an email confirming this so obviously she did not extend it as she didn’t even quote me on how much it would be. I have tried to go on the Hertz app to extend our booking but that won’t let me get past the “driving license number” section so I am now currently driving 3 hours back to the original pick up location to speak with them in person. I have never experienced such an incompetent member of staff as well as being so rude. I will not be using Hertz again
