Cheap Car Rentals in Mérida Rejon Airport from S$ 8

They did not have a car for us and it was a different company called American car rentals ( there is no such thing as economy rent a car . We were stuck at the airport , no car and no one to help .

They didnt reserve nothing , didnt have car

I would not ever using this company again, as someone who goes to Merida often this company is trying to take advantage of travelers and skirt the law and charge extra fees and unnecessary insurance. Buyer beware if you book through any site (Expedia, booking.com, Hotwire and any other) they (rental company) will tell you the third party bookings are not honored for the price you booked for, and they will try to charge additional insurance not needed as the only needed insurance is the liability and the rest is covered by most US credit cards and insurance, and they will ignore the contract and try to charge off contract prices for extra days. They lie to your face and their customer service line nor the booking company you used will do anything to help. We spent two hours on the phone and 3 hours at the rental car place! We were charged an addition $90 on our reservation they said were fees the booking platform charges them.....never again will I use this site as I was also told by three rental car companies in Merida that booking through these third party sites even when paying in advance does not guarantee you an honored reservation or a car at the price you paid. It’s robbery, thank goodness we have family in the area that know the laws and fought on our behalf. There are car rental companies out of fiesta Americana that will not give you all the hassle and extra fees. Also again we were told by multiple car rental companies that the car reservation we booked and paid for was not available and the reservation meant nothing since we did not book directly on their car rental site. Europcar and American car rentals out of Merida are both scam companies ripping people off!
